Here’s a nice easy one for you! This keeps my kids amused for ages (long
enough to put your feet up and relax for a while)
You
Will Need: -
Some
Old Magazines
Child
friendly scissors
Paper
Glue
1.
First
of all have a quick flick through your magazine to make sure it’s
suitable for your kids to use (I only say this because my kids did make
a rather ‘interesting’ picture from an old Heat magazine once…….I’ll let
you use your imagination on that one)
2.
Spread
out some newspaper or a plastic sheet (you won’t be able to relax if you
are panicking about glue spillages)
3.
Get
your child/children to cut out various body parts from various pictures
i.e. Peter Andre’s head and Jordan’s…….arms. They can also cut out
accessories too.

4.
Encourage them (whilst peering over your coffee cup and without actually
moving off the chair) to arrange the pieces on some plain paper. The
possibilities are endless here; it’s a human jigsaw of various people’s
bodies. My kids always end up in fits of laughter doing this!
5.
Finally, once they are happy with their arrangement they can stick all
the bits in place. They will have had loads of fun, you get to relax and
they will probably want to do another one. As for tidying up? You just
scoop all the sticky gluey bits that are left over up into the newspaper
they were working on and jobs a goodun’!
You may
even find a budding artist in your family! My eight year old seems to
have gone a bit arty with her pic (the big one below), whereas my six
year old prefers the ‘churn out as many as you can’ approach!
